This site was created by five Eastern Connecticut State University graduate students. This project is designed to introduce 6th grade students to the sights and sounds of India in an interdisciplinary unit in conjunction with the Connecticut Education Frameworks and National Science Standards. Students will become engaged as they study such elements as geography of the land, including places of interest, wildlife found within, its food and culture, and the different languages spoken throughout. The goal is to draw attention to a world very different from our own and to create a desire within our students to want to learn more. The following links are the homepages of the individuals that created this site. Contact information can be found for each individual at their respective homepage. The content found within Sights and Sounds of India was created in 2007 for the course EDU 553- Computers in the Classroom. |
